Billings, Montana Strawberry Festival

I've noticed that Montanan cities have not gotten a huge representation around here. Especially compared to other Northwestern cities like Boise. Anyway, today I went to the Strawberry Festival in Billings, Montana. Here are the pictures I took. They weren't taken with a high quality camera, but I think you might enjoy them.

This was built several years. It's known as the skypoint

I actually really like this old building, it's sorta dumpy but whatever.

kinda a weird layered look

another view of skypoint

sorta like weird little alleyways like this too for some reason

lots of people

newly renovated building, now known as the vally building

this is the old Montana Power Company building, my great grandpa used to work in this building, the bottum floor now holds the Montana Brewing Company, a popular local restaurant and brewery

I have more if anybody likes these, these might not show up right away, if so, give me a sec and I'll fix it

Very nice photos! Billings looks to be a hip place to live! I just love the fact that there are so many crowds of people in the downtown area as compared to that of my own. Even our city festivals (La Festa Italiana, Fiesta en Scranton, Fine Arts Fiesta, Scranton Jazz Festival, Electric City Film Festival, etc.) are usually pretty poorly-attended. It's events like the strawberry festival that can pull a city like Billings together.

Whoa, a Billings rep, yippee. Nice little tour, and look forward to more from Billings and any other Montana cities you care to show. Thanks and welcome to SSP.

Welcome! You are now officially the third Montana forumer (I think...) Great thread. Good to see some Billings in here. And glad to know there will be another Bozeman-area forumer soon!

I was from Billings once. It's as nice of a diamond in the rough, as there is. Those pictures are spectacular, regardless of what kind of camera was used.

The north side of the city, right under the rim of the plateau, where the airport is. As a matter of fact my street was right underneath the end of one of the runways. It was also right across the thoroughfare from the Rocky Mountain College. The one called Rimrock Road.

I'm actually a heights man myself, but I know where you are talking about. I might post some pics from the area around my house, because it's pretty incredible.

Isn't "The Heights" the fastest growing part of the city?

I've come to think of it yor're right. Before long the growth will engulf the Yellowstone County Country Club if it hasn't done so already. Also, I'm sure you are aware of that beautiful Mormon Church at that end of town too. It's been there about a decade.

Thanks for the pics! This is definitely a city we don't see too often here.
