Lightbulb Metropolis in Downtown LA

I was unable to find the previous Metropolis thread, so I'm starting a new one here:

The Metropolis Environmental Impact Report is out. There will be 4 towers, with the tallest two at 620 feet. The first two "shorter" towers will be built fist. I have extracted and posted the images from the entire EIR below.

You can read the entire thing here:

This new design is much better than the old one. I'm still pretty bummed out about the completion date for this project though. 2020 is ridiculous for the size of this project. Does anyone know when the actual groundbreaking is gonna take place? I'm guessing its still years away. It sucks that we have put up with that dead zone for so long.

^ Don't worry too much about it... they're doing one at a time in phases, so there will be some occupancy in a few years if this gets moving.

I keep thinking this thread is about the bookstore in the Old Bank District. lol

^ Hot Damn! Let's hope this goes quickly into plan check. That is the next step, right?

Too much park/plaza space, imo, but certainly a welcome change for that plot.

How do you do it, man?

This kind of resembles the Trinity Towers project that ThreeHundred keeps mentioning. It's a pretty big redesign...

Thanks for posting. Should look good from the freeway, but not a whole lot of interest from a pedestrian's vantage point.

They look a little small compared to the other buildings.

Wow, nice find LAMG!

Wait a minute...

Did they downsize the project from 4 towers to 2?

Yeah, you can see the ghosts of some buildings to the left of these.
