Aerial photos of Victoria Canada

These come from tnano over at the http://vibrantvictoria.ca/ forum. This is the best set of Victoria aerial photos I have ever seen!!

Snow fell in the city at the end of November.

tnano's album: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tnano/

He was flying the plane as he held the camera out to take the photos!

Wow, weird seeing Victoria with snow... infact i dont think ive ever seen 'little london' with any snow at all.

I really love the fact that there are little to no tall towers downtown, i think (against the wishes of many of the Victoria fourmers) that they should keep that rule. The 5-6 story development looks amazing, and gives the city alot of charm. They should build some large developments outside of the city in various nodes if they need skyscrapers that badly.

So dense, and it looks like urban renewal was never a problem in Victoria. Hard time finding any surface parking lots too; cool. Thanks for the pics Dylan, great looking city.

The best thing about what can be seen in those photos is that it all sits a short walk from such a quaint little harbor

The harbor is wonderful! If you get a chance to visit Victoria, go to the restaurant/bar in the Delta. This hotel is on the opposite side of the harbor from the downtown core, so it has a great view. Even better is that the Delta has basically a wall of windows that overlooks the harbor, so there is very little to obstruct the view. I had drinks in the bar on a Saturday evening with the downtown all lit up and also brunch in their restaurant on a Sunday morning when the sun was actually out (a break from the rains). Loved it both times!
