Oh wow. That is definitely a big engineering challenge if the hearsay is true.

The update on the airport terminal is welcome news.

Interesting project, anyone know who the potential tenant(s) might be? 40k sf is probably one of the largest new construction office buildings in the city in years.

Superdome passes last major hurdle on massive, $450M upgrade project; here's what to

The State Bond Commission has given the Mercedes-Benz Superdome's governing body the go-ahead to sell up to $350 million in bonds to fund its stadium upgrade project, which is a key part of the talks to keep the Saints in New Orleans for the next several decades.

The funding approval is a major step for the $450 million stadium makeover, the terms of which have been haggled over for years.

Gov. John Bel Edwards welcomed the approval. After several months of talks, "the first major step happened today (that will) keep the Superdome competitive for decades to come."

The Saints and the the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, also known as the Superdome Commission, are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding soon to extend the Saints' lease and allow the first phase of the renovation project to get underway next year.

Also interesting that they mention naming rights for the future. Ceaser's (Harrah's Parent) now a possibility since NFL rules has changed on this recently. Used to not allow gambling affiliates.

Hey Guys there is a study that was conducted on what should be done with the old six flags site in New Orleans east and it is really cool. here goes a link to the PDF. of the study.

https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.town...52b9bb.pdf.pdf

This is something that the city should pitch to a company like SideWalk labs to be the anchor tenant of a development like this, if it isn't redeveloped into a destination theme park.

Nice looking office project for Magazine street, and it's nice to see a speculative office project actually be proposed for the city.

Thanks for the info on the proposed opening date of the new airport terminal.

Six Flags site ideas are interesting. At a minimum, demolition of the existing site needs to happen soon.

Not sure which ones but I heard some restaurants are looking.

They put some videos and pictures of their units on Facebook. The units look really nice. Supposedly people are moving in tomorrow.

Just as a side note....drove around different areas of town yesterday and was blown away by the many improvements and construction projects currently going on. View of CBD/Warehouse District from the expressway is amazing. Don't remember New Orleans looking this good in the past.
New pavement on Convention Center Blvd. is taking shape at good speed and the upcoming transportation hub under the overpass just got beautiful new sod.
Now, really hoping a few of the big eye sores get redeveloped soon; otherwise, things are looking really good!

Whoa! The charity redevlopment folks are in negotiations for a national co-working space company to lease 150,000 square feet of office space in the building.
