Looking back at this thread, I am at least happy to see that 5 of them are actually under construction (Trillium, Power Station, Market, Morris, Water Street) and a 6th is getting close (King's Wharf). That is actually better than I would have thought a couple of years ago. I was tempted to put the convention centre under the "getting close column, but I remain skeptical.
The only sad part is that the ones with the chance to most dramatically change the skyline (UG Towers, Alexander, IP) seem like a distant dream.
Despite the delays, projects in Halifax actually have a very good track record of getting built. Many of the highrises that exist today seemed at one point like they'd never actually go up. I remember reading about a development by Fenwick back in the late 90s, for example.
I think the bottom line is that Halifax is doing pretty well economically these days, and if there's demand for more space there's pressure on developers to build. We'll be seeing lots of new construction in the years to come.
I don't know about projects like United Gulf or International Place specifically, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of those starts fairly suddenly (from our perspective) during the next year or so.
Just a quick and easy visual reference for some of the larger projects not yet under construction..
International Place
Waterside Centre
United Gulf Towers (aka Twisted Sisters)
Trillium
Hollis & Morris
NSP Building (redevelopment of the old power plant)
Alexander (Brewery/Salter's Gate phase II)
Salter's Landing
Queen's Landing (Maritime Museum of the Atlantic expansion)
King's Wharf (Dartmouth waterfront)
Seaport Farmer's Market

If anyone has any other renderings feel free to post them!
Am I the only one who read "Chanel" and "Louis Vuitton" at the base of the United Gulf Towers (retail area)? That sounds like it will/would be quite the upscale building! Any news on this particular building?
