According to the image on the webcam this is now on the third floor!

Also I stumbled across the architects website (WHW Architects). They have some nice renderings up.

EDIT: The WHW website also has renderings up of a Commonwealth Games stadium for the Seaport (too bad we abandoned it ). And in addition to that they have renderings for the new French School (Bedford South).

I looked back through the thread and apparently the new renderings were never posted here so here they are (both from WHW Architects)

In terms of new Development, Dalhousie's sort of been an important bedrock on continuing projects for the past ten years.

They's had... how many projects since 1999? The CS building... the Social Sciences center next to the Cohn (FSB?), the economics building... the residence behind the SUB... Howe Hall extension... the chemistry storage facility (I forget it's proper name)... now at least two active projects on the go.

very good point, and there is also the gerrard hall makeover.....SMU is a little late to the game but with their master plan are apparently making up for lost time, to bad all their development space is restricted to a relatively small piece of land, Dal on the other hand has loads of space for the future....ohhhh I also saw the progress that has been made on the SMU study hall (forget proper name) expansion recently....it's looking quiet nice

Accorsing to the webcam they are now on the fourth floor frame near the front. Footings are in for the foundation in the rear.

Is it just me or is this progressing really quickly?

One thing that I wonder is whether the completion of this project will move along the Queen's Landing project? In addition to the Life Sciences Research Centre, this building also integrated InovaCorp's Biosciences Centre... so the existing Bioscience Centre on Lower Water will potentially be vacant soon, and might speed up the process of finding a new use for that real estate.

I don't even know if the BioScience is under construction yet. The footings on the University Ave side could be the start of the building but I'm not really sure right now.

I think it will accelerate the Queen's Landing proposal but this is still two years from completion so it'll be awhile yet.

yeah, the footings are for the bioscience building. Its coming along, albeit a bit slower than the LSRI which seems to be going up pretty quickly.

I just checked the project schedule (HERE) and the north tower structure (LSRI) is supposed to be done first so logically they would be working on it faster I guess.

According to the schedule the LSRI will take a lot longer to compete the interior so they are trying to get the exterior done fast so both buildings can be open at the same time.

^Thats a cool shot

So I was thinking since the BioScience is being built next to the LSRI at the same time maybe we should somehow merge the two threads to reflect the fact that they are really the same building.

They've begun working on the fifth floor frame now.

Hopefully I'll bother to take a photo sometime this week since I'm in the area daily.
