Google Timelapse

Heres an interesting time lapse from Google Earth taken from satellite pictures of the Halifax area since 1984. The thing that stands out in my mind the most is the amount of urban sprawl. Especially in areas like Hammonds Plains, Cole Harbour and Fall River. Pretty cool to look at though.

One of the most interesting items, besides the sprawl, you can see Point Pleasant Park being devastated in 2005 then gradually going green again.

Amazed by the filling-in of Bedford Basin from Clayton Park to Bedford eventually becoming solid.

The expansion into Morris Lake and Shearwater areas is really noticeable too!
