Not really one of my favorite projects. Kinda reminds me of a bigger 1 King West.

Still, good city building tower.

Awesome! Hopefully it turns out nice. Who knows, this could be Tridel's masterpiece?

It will be Tridel's tallest, but it won't be a masterpiece that's for sure.

Just pray it isn't a blight on the skyline like 300 Front Street.

Hopefully it turns out fairly nice at least

Here are some beautiful close ups of the progress at Brookfield Place by SurrealPlaces!

Tridel is by far the largest condo builder in Canada and they didn't get that way by building masterpieces. LEED has been a huge marketing success for them and glass facades are the current trend. I don't see them swaying from the 60% spandrel/40% vision that has sold out 25 towers for them in the last few years.

Wallman is a capable architect. The combination of Tridel and him have been ugly so far. Still, there is some hope. The city is involved too.

I am looking forward to seeing 88 Scott. I think it'll turn out nice. I always enjoy seeing the skyline extend eastward so any 200m+ tower east of Yonge St I will take (even if it's only slightly east). The quality of 88 Scott so far seems promising. I love the blend of materials. It'll be nice not having 100% glass which is what most new towers are now.

As for Ten York? Im just praying it doesn't turn out like 300 Front St. Damn that building is ugly. I will settle with mediocre here... anything more seems like too much to ask based on the renders. I will try to remain positive.

I expect the usual page and steele green glass with dark green glass spandrel on the floor sections and aluminium coloured metal on the slab edge for 88 Scott. It's not the worst out there. For me, it's more the design that's offensive. This is a 200 metre tower that stands out.

According to the developer yes Eau Du Soleil will officially start construction in March-April of 2015. And Massey isn't on the list yet.

With Massey Tower now under construction, we now have a 202 metre tower (Ice Condos I) which is too short to make this list. We've never had so many 200+ metre towers under construction at one time in this country.

With Telus Sky at 222 meters to be under excavation by January, we may end up with a limit for this list of around 210 meters. That is very impressive!

By then Aura, Ice I & II and L Tower should all be off the list. We may have reached our peak in the short term.

Ohhh right! Forgot about that. Well still, very impressive

I doubt it will happen, but if Oxford Tower, 45 Bay, and 156 Front all get underway while One Bloor and Brookfield Place are still under way, we could have 5 towers UC over 800 ft, which would be another insanely impressive achievement. All of those are unlikely to start until around 2018 at best though, probably.
