DC --- Chesapeake Beach, MD --- Annapolis, MD

Just a few pictures from the Anniversary trip with the wife. We spent 5 hours in DC, the night in Chesapeake Beach, MD, and about 4 hours in Annapolis on the way home.

I'm looking forward to going back to Annapolis for a longer stay so I can properly explore this great little city.

Nice pictures. You visited Ex-Ithacan?

Annapolis is really nice. Even the "other" neighborhoods besides the Historic District, like Eastport, Murray Hill, etc, are very nice and have nice waterfront areas.

I have family in Annapolis. One of the actual nice places you can live in MD.

Maryland has an oversupply of nice places you can live. if you like Annapolis, there are any number of towns on the Eastern Shore and in Western Maryland like it. Most of them are not quite as well cared for as the state capital, but still very nice.

By the way, what happened to the beach at Chesapeake Beach? When I was a kid we used to go down there to swim.

There are actually a lot of nice places in Maryland to live. Off of the top of my head, I wouldn't mind living in Chestertown, Oxford, St. Michael's, Easton, Cambridge, Havre de Grace, Ocean City, and Kent Island. That's not to mention some nice neighborhoods in Baltimore, although it's tough to put a big city on the list in its entirety because there are some neighborhoods that I would like more than others. Even unincorporated areas can be very nice. Some of the rural areas along the Chesapeake Bay are ncie because it's like you have the whole bay to yourself.

Nice pictures! Annapolis is one of those cities that I prefer to visit when it's cool and cloudy. It adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Definitely. And a lot of places not-so-nice places to live as well. Annapolis, I think, is one of the nicer ones.

Very much so. Not disagreeing that Annapolis is a great place to live, but to the fact that you're saying there aren't many nice places in Maryland to live. In my opinion, Maryland is stacked full of nice places to live. But from your above comment i take it you've changed your mind? im a bit confused
