Trois Rivieres is so often overlooked, even by many living in Quebec (most people still take the 20 when driving to QC from Montreal, rather than the newer 40 which skirts TR). It has a few blocks downtown that compete with the best parts of Vieux Montreal.

Yes, i always felt like Trois-Rivières is somewhat underestimated and underappreciated for some reason..I know I did too, but not anymore!

North End Halifax. It is a bit fuzzy but the cranes for Richmond Yards, which includes a 30 storey tower, are visible in the upper right.

This is a photo I took downtown Victoria in January this year. The red brick building is a Jewish Synagogue which is the oldest currently still used in Canada. Built in 1863.

...
It's elegant in it's basic formality, nicely proportioned, harmonious, nothing looks wrong or out of place (except for the addition to the right which is awful), and also looks a lot like some early Methodist churches from the 19th century.

I took these photos from around Victoria about a year ago. Thought I'd share them. Not the best photos really. Lol

Eastern Passage (suburb of Halifax); the little cove forms a canal-like area that's cool to explore by boat. In the first picture you can see a bunch of fishing huts (?) that have been turned into hipster/tourist businesses, along with active fishing and industrial stuff.

It is to my shame that I have never been in Rimouski. I have been in the general area twice (once circumnavigating the Gaspesie and once heading back to the Maritimes via the Matapedia), but on both occasions we didn't go into the city.

I should visit sometime soon, especially since Moncton and Rimouski have a playoff rivalry in the QMJHL. You guys seem to be a nemesis team for the Moncton Wildcats.

^You would probably enjoy it if you liked the surrounding area. There are some nice natural features like La promenade de la mer (urban seawalk and bike path), Le sentier du littoral (natural coastal trail), La route verte (coastal bike path), le Parc Beauséjour (city park by the Rimouski river), La route du Fleuve (coastal road), Le Site historique Maritime de la Pointe-Au-Père (maritime museum), sunsets over the Saint-Lawrence etc..
