Usually, buildings like these tend to “open” before they’re “complete”.

I couldn't tell when I was out there a few weeks ago, but are the LEDs only fully visible at certain angles? Or are the south-facing lights just not fully lit? This just makes me more excited for Steinway and having a whole new Billionaire's Row at night!

Pretty sure the south facing lights aren't lit. No idea when they're going to be, but it should be soon.

Southside isn't lit yet.

Manhattan Luxury-Home Market Inked a Half-Billion in Deals Last Week
It was the best week of the year for homes asking $4 million or more in terms of total volume and number of sales

BY LIZ LUCKING
NOVEMBER 15, 2021

Quote:
Last week was the most prosperous seven-day stretch of the year for Manhattan’s high-end home market, according to Olshan Realty’s weekly market roundup on Monday.

There were a whopping 60 contracts signed on homes asking $4 million or more in the New York City borough during the week ending Sunday, the most this year.

… Collectively, those deals were worth more than a half-billion dollars—roughly $553.9 million—eclipsing this year’s previous high of $483.6 million, set in October, and marking the sector’s strongest performance since the end of 2013.

“In the last six weeks, the luxury market has shifted into high gear,” wrote Donna Olshan, author of the report and president of Olshan Realty.

Though condos remained the most popular home type, accounting for 65% of deals, the 16 co-ops that found buyers was the most the report has recorded in a single week since 2010, when “we started breaking down contracts between co-ops, condos and townhouses,” Ms. Olshan said.
Quote:
The pricest contract signed last week was for a four-bedroom spread at the Robert A.M. Stern-designed 15 Central Park West, which came with an asking price of $35 million. Spanning 4,565 square feet, the apartment has views of Central Park from the living room, library and main bedroom.

The second-most expensive deal made was on the penthouse at 1010 Park Ave. on the Upper East Side, asking $34.9 million. The 6,745-square-foot duplex has four bedrooms and a 479-square-foot terrace.

Hopefully, this will prompt him to build a 1,400' hotel/condo at 46th and 5th.
