William Prince is probably the most notable singer to come out of Manitoba over the past few years. Super mellow, kind of a country-folk style. Perfect 2020 vibes. The video for this song is great too.

My dad was from up around the northern Interlake region where Prince is from, so definitely some sentimental attachment to the sounds and visuals in this video...

^William Prince has a great vocal delivery, he gets a lot of play on CBC, potentially he could do well in the US country market if the music isn't too specifically Canadian.

^Supertramp was a British band who were more popular in Canada than in the US, but "Breakfast in America" was no.1 almost everywhere including the US. They also were popular in the Netherlands; strangely some bands do very well in certain foreign countries but not in others. Some later Supertramp albums did better in France than in most other countries.

I am going to break the "one video per post" rule. For the Old Fogie Forumers. Here are great two songs from the 70s, both from Canadian bands (Lighthouse, from Toronto; Trooper, from Vancouver), with the SAME song title: "(Oh) Pretty Lady"

From Lighthouse:

From Trooper:

I am quite amazed how little airplay the second song gets.
