Amazing! I remember when they were just holes in the ground and now they'll be the beacons of century city.

I never figure out how to post pics but you can clearly see Long Beachs new tallest rising all the way from the 405. Well the section of the 405 that goes over Long Beach blvd. Looks massive from a distance.

Hollywood update. More to come soon

Target Husk is no more...... it's just... Target!
Looks like its just days before opening

Hudson Pacific's Epic building which has been completed and turned over to its sole leasee, Netflix for tenant occupation. It's a nice building with nice architectural lighting. It sits next door to the emptied out CIM sunset gordon residential tower. Can we just transfer the name of Husk from Target to the Gordon Husk, or CIM Husk or CIM Shell

What's the deal with that CIM building? Are they ever going to transfer it to another owner and allow it to be occupied? Seems ridiculous to let housing sit empty like that. Could be used temporarily to house homeless at the very least.

It opened in 2014 but then Robert Silverstein and that La Mirada HOA sued and had their occupation revoked, triggering the residents to move out. Same people who sued and shut the Target for years

The Epic is great. I really like how the entire Sunset and Bronson-facing sides are entirely flush with the sidewalk, with the building's rear tapering so as not to tower over its neighbors to the north (although that site is begging for a mid-rise). Great job disguising the above-grade parking levels as well.

Oh my god that Mobil station is that much more a glaring eyesore now when set directly against the new tower.

The La Mirada association is a scourge with literally no actual broadly beneficial aims. They should be forcibly disbanded by the city unless they can produce a purpose beyond NIMBYism.

At least the Mobil station color tone and linear shape kinda fit with CIM, it's not THAT out of place.

Drove by the Johnson development in century city, opposite corner of Century plaza development and it had heavy work going on, plus dozens of concrete mixers ready for pour. guessing at least one tower has broken ground.

Ah, JMB finally getting it's 41+ floor tower going nice, apparently they're going to build another tower of similar height afterward.

Really? Wow, I worked in CC last year and walked by the site every day.
Glad something's finally happening there.

Hopefully its two towers. I heard it was one last time.
