They've stated they were ahead of schedule.
As for standing out, it's a brand new 1,400 ft building that should stand out. But those other new towers of the same height or greater complicate things. In a good way though.
Imagine if this tower stood in Queens. Even 9 Dekalb, a tower that will dominate Brooklyn, would get lost in the Midtown mass.
But standing virtually next to Chrysler helps it to stand out more. And we've got a few more years before 270 Park, the Grand Hyatt Tower, and others reach the same height and more.
