6. Cincinnati
7. Hong Kong
8. Seattle
9. Vancouver
10. Dubai

I like the skylines that have different color lights, that's the reason some cities are lower or higer than expected.

Some good choices, but Cincinatti?

Hong Kong or Chicago, easily.

i agree.
in north america it's either chicago, toronto or nyc.
and in the rest of the world it's either hong kong or shanghai.

no other cities really come close imo. all this talk about la, cincinatti, detroit, and so on... GIVE ME A BREAK. sorry but 5 lit-up buildings is NOT impressive.

i took this with my phone over the summer...

^That's one of my favorite shots of Calgary's skyline. Thanks for posting that Boris.

To be honest, Vancouver, Seattle, and Detroit have "equal" night skylines to Cincinnati (Cincinnati uses more flood lighting and neon; Van/Seattle really don't do that aside from a couple of buildings and Detroit is nice at night). Hell, I think Toronto has a terrible night-time skyline but whatever.

As for world skylines, no one can argue Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chicago, and New York are "up there" and I'm sure Dubai, Shenzhen, Las Vegas, etc are up there as well.

Cincinnati's skyline although small looks pretty nice at night. Like colday said the buildings are very lit up with neon lights. As for the other choices I picked they are all top skylines at night.

I'm going with HK for night time skyline. Chicago for daytime. Of course Calgary's night time skyline isn't too shabby

OK, it's settled!

I agree with 2PRU and others. HK #1 at night and Chicago #1 during the day. NYC, Shanghai and Toronto rounding out the top 5.

No other city in the world is even close to the Alpha group.

Anyone who regularly reads these forums has to make plans to personally see the HK skyline from Kowloon at night and Chicago from the Planetarium drive during the day to understand why this debate is OVER! Both are breathtaking.

Pictures don't do justice, you must also see it for yourself.

(And Toronto is on the top 5 list because it is seen by so many people on TV shows pretending it is Chicago and NYC!)
