THIS ⬆️

I think this would be a great option for consideration. Although, I'm not sure if it is possible/would defeat the purpose of the blow-through floor? But I am all for it.

They should put it on that mechanical floor that doesn't go all the way across

As one sign rises and another falls, two supertalls will be saved

Honestly, the mechanicals and blow through hole do not bother me as much as the failure to just taper that last section at the very top.

Once this building is officially completed and this thread is archived, Chicago won't have any representation on the Supertall Construction forum. Let's hope the Tribune East Tower will be approved and construction will start soon!

Quick question for those in the know. I think glass started going up on this building in September/October 2018. It's just now finishing up over 2 years later. I know there were some (a lot?) of problems with the glass. What is a normal timeframe for glass installation for a building of this size?

The windows in the western corner look like a different color than the rest of them

It’s from light penetration through the building at the corners

Hey strangers, here are a few from last night. Only about 15 minutes separates the two images. I'd been waiting until the last few panes of glass went in before I dedicate much time to making some proper images, but, she's finally all wrapped up!

She looks so good from the river, if only they didn’t mess up the mechanical floors on the other side smh.
