I'll fade or transition better with light once the glass protective cover is off. Facade wise, will work well with ambient light. Not drawing too too much attention to a 1,550 ft slender.

So critics riddle me this:

Is it IYO any worse than either of the two gigantic Modernist monoliths that were totally out of place and proportion with the rest of Downtown? And with an utterly vapid, changeless façade of bland vertical steel columns?

Whatever could be said about this beauty's first-glance simplicity is IMHO balanced by the observation that closer looks--and those more often--can reveal subtleties not seen previously.

I await the first night-time illumination scheme.

These three buildings are the new towers that are nearing completion, and ready to add some light to the skyline...

I think CPT and 435 Park complement 111 to where I think missing either of these wouldn't make the others truly shine! We have some futuristic towers that'll soon light up the night sky and I can't wait to see them in person in a month or so!!

^ I think "futuristic" is right, in that it's a different look for the skyline. Tall, slender towers that seem to rise higher than they should be able too dotted across the cityscape. I don't mind at all, so long as we keep some spires in the mix.

Looks like they didn't rework the design of the portion where the spire was going to be...

It seems that more people are starting to warm up to the Central Park Tower these days. I kinda liked it from the start and knew it would be awesome on the skyline just like 111 W and 432 Park. Change can be great!

Agree, but seeing the size of the floors owing to the full-block size is a nice contrast to the pencil towers. Imagine if a full block was ever available again and something 1500' or more was built!
