I can see a challenge coming from the buildings next to this at 19 and 21 King St. I like proposal 1 for the forward thought of a second building at the corner of King and Thames (if i'm understanding it correctly), as it would be shorter, probably 12-15 floors, but would add density and not completely block out the building beside it and utilize the space available in an area becoming more and more popular and in demand.

OK, let's hope they do not swap the cladding for yucco stucco (a la Harriston).

glad they are opening five signage stores...I have been looking for signage.

I don't like how the retail space they show on the lower floors face the West into Ivey Park and seem to take over the park for a driveway in option 1 site plan.

No street presence on York street for Retail. Just a poor facade and entrance to the underground parking.

None of the elevations or renderings take the heritage building at 24 York into account to show what the streetscape would really be like or how much of a drop off there is between 32 York and the park to the west.

The tower is fine but the base needs some serious work.

Well with Tricar, at least we know they are serious about building so there is probably a good chance we will actually see this being built.

I live in this area. It's only a very few number of people that care enough to try and stop these buildings. If the health unit building is going forward so will this one. I noticed this building is shorter then the Ren 2 penthouse level. The 2 buildings beside it are facing only one side. so this will not obstruct any condo views between Ren 2 and the 2 others buildings... The Ren 1 is a rental building owned by Tricar who is building this project so I cant see many reasons for objection here.

Other developers wants to build downtown should really follow what Tricar does, always extremely detailed drawings, multiple options, etc make it difficult to say "no" and or slow things down.

It helps they have a proven track record as well, this should go ahead fairly quickly I would imagine once Azure is complete which is not far off. I like the variations in materials used on the outside, looks like it would be a nice addition to the skyline.

I love Tricar. Only builders that get anything done it seems.

Good news indeed. Tricar will be able to move the current crane from Talbot St to York St if they do proceed with demolition on York in Sept.

Unlike some developers cough York cough Rygar cough Auburn; Tricar doesn't waste time and make excuses they get things done.

The Urban Design Peer Review Panel for the city is recommending that Tricar build a taller, skinnier tower than the one that is being proposed. Have to agree that the current proposal is too fat and a bit awkward with the side appendage thing on the side. For once, can they not build a beautiful tower?

What is wrong with Azure? I agree none of their buildings are breathtaking by any means however they are far from bad and more importantly they actually build!

That said I am fine with the city wanting it taller, I mean why not
