CALGARY | Arris - 5th and Third | 142 M | 41 FLOORS

Two residential towers with retail at podium. Loblaws will have an urban format grocery in podium.

Tower B is on the east side of the block

I believe the address should be 428 6 Ave SE, not 6 St.

I really hope that last render is the design, not that it's great, but the other two are totally heinous. Is the shorter one (this one) the one that's going into sales first?

All three images are one the DP, so I'm guessing that's what we are going to get......it's an awful lot of different colors.

Well, that pretty much killed any excitement I had for this project. All that's left is basically... yay a supermarket in the EV. What an absolutely horrific looking dumpster fire. How could the city let that kind of design into what they're touting as the coolest new neighbourhood in the city?

At least the towers are decent. Let's just hope they don't duct tape a bunch of red, purple, and brown rectangles onto them.

lets hope that it looks better in real life than the rendering. The towers do looks good for the most part.

Some good new involving this project. Apparently Canadian Tire has signed on to be the tenant for the other large space in the podium.

Yeah? These kind of places come in handy for the downtown.

I think I posted this in the EV thread a month ago, or in some threaf. It's great that they've got the lead tenants though. Nothing to stop them from going into construction on the retail podium now

The timeline of Spring of 2016 for a start is what has been mentioned a few times. This would be a great project for inner city Calgary. A Loblaws and Canadian Tire would be great for Bridgeland and Eau Claire too.

Absolutely. It would also benefit all residents of downtown, west end, and Beltline, being right at the end of the Downtown Free Fare Zone.

I've heard a summer/fall 2015 start. Can likely start before reaching res threshold because of RioCan securing anchor tenants. 200,000sf of retail would be a huge score for that end of the city. Bokimon also mentioned awhile back this isn't the final design, being reworked.

I also believe this is a key building to tie the rest of Downtown to East Village, since anything North of the C-train tracks just before the bend is a parkade and vacant lots. So I would be very happy to see this move forward.

Exciting news for this one. The towers that were postponed look to be a go now. https://calgary.skyrisecities.com/fo....24469/page-39
