With UEB at the helm, I'm sure one will be up soon. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same cam they used for the hotel.

http://kenectphoenix.com is now live. But not much on there right now except a link to their Facebook which went up yesterday.

The FB page has a little more on it including groundbreaking ceremony photos and renderings.

Man the Parking podium is almost as tall as the Hampton Inn, this one is also pretty thin everything considered, This city is finally getting swanky rooftop pools and bars and Ill be to old and washed up to got to them =(

The Kenect renderings that we have seen are way out of perspective...probably to emphasize the tower. I think the podium is only 5 or 6 levels, but the renderings make Hampton and Freeport look much smaller than they really are.

That lounge is going to be awesome. Too bad I'm getting too old too!

*Edit: On a side note, this tower will have a 0' setback from the sidewalk fronting Central Ave. Going to be very interesting to see that thin sliver of a tower projecting West of Freeport rolling up Central.

Kenect is going to go up super-fast like Link. Lot is already cleared out and the ground rebar support is already being piled up on site. I would expect a drill rig and mobile crane to be onsite in the next few days. It also looks like they are prepping the ground for where the tower crane base will go.

Grabbed a quick pic:

I don’t think I’ve seen an official height number but 23 floors would put it around 280’.

That estimate of 285' seems wrong.

1 level of lobby/retail: 16'~
6 levels of garage: 8' x 6 =48'
16 levels of residential: 10' * 16 = 160'

~230' for a roof height is much more realistic. Add in another 20 feet for parapet/mechanical screening.

Somewhere around 283'ish was the listed height on the architectural rendering site that I found last year. That site is no longer public, so I don't recall the exact number. But the design has not changed any since that site was up, so it's what I would still go with. Please consider that Block 23 residential is 232' @17 floors, Stewart is 242' @19 floors (with that awning structure included on top) and Derby was going to be 245' @19 floors if built.

Cool pic Biggus!!!!!!

So they dig a hole, fill it with cement and then cover it up? Do they wait until all pillar foundations are poured and then go vertical?
