Another photo-op, this time at Walkley Yard on the Trillium Line. No real milestone this time.

This would be valid if the O-Train stations were more enclosed and actually warmer than the old Transitway stations. They aren't.

I wasn't really speaking re: O-Train stations. Just speaking to how the older Transitway stations were not saved functionally by their 80s aesthetic.

2020 Year-end Review of O-Train Stage 2 contraction available on O-Train Fans:

https://www.railfans.ca/forum/topic/...s#comment-3589

Stage 2 includes 44 kilometers of new rail service and 24 new stations (mostly converted from bus to rail).

Stage 2 south includes 16 kilometers of new rail and 8 new stations, including the airport link.

The new Walkley MSF in November 2020.

The future Corso Italia station.

Stage 2 east will see 12.5 kilometers of new rail, that's the same distance as Stage 1. 5 new stations will be built along that extension.

Stage 2 west will add 15 kilometers and 11 stations. By far the most technically challenging part of the project, it includes 3.5 kilometers of tunnels.

Slurry pits at the east-end of the Parkway-Byron tunnel.

Support of excavation work in Byron Linear Park (former streetcar RoW).

Lincoln Fields flyover, where the Moodie bound trains will branch off.

It’ll be interesting to ride an LRT and see freight trains nearby.

No pictures, but I was in Montreal for two weeks, and construction of the REM is really moving along. Seeing stations rising in some of my old stomping grounds....damn, why did they have wait so long?

Am I not seeing something? The flyover seems to be able to handle two sets of tracks but there is only one approach support structure?

Future TTC map for 2023 from KhalilHeron over at UT

Adds completion of 5 and 6 lines as well as stations with accessibility upgrades. 5 is currently U/C with a planned 2022 opening with line 6 currently U/C with an expected opening in 2023.

I still don't get why Line 6 doesn't reach the Airport. It looks close.

A lot of discussion at this point about extending Line 5 to the Airport. I know there's been a lot of chatter about above-ground/below-ground routing and stations but can't recall if anything's been made official or pushed forward yet.

Crazy that there is only one line going Downtown. I get that not everyone is going Downtown but I wonder how packed the Spadina line will be south of Bloor once 5 and 6 are in operation

Lol, the Ontario line will have to come in at breakneck speed to provide a little bit of relief.

It should even out the flow downtown on both sides of the U.

Why do they have Lines 5 & 6 under 'subways'? Under no stretch of the definition do they qualify as subways. Finch is nothing more than a streetcar with ROW.

This map also exemplifies how the TTC and Metrolinx have absolutely nothing to do with each other. If they did they would mark down Toronto GO.
