Agreed 100%. It cheapens the view. Looks like some suburban shitbox you'd see in Mississauga.

The Roman centurion in Brossard is hard to match, though that fresco above the garage is uniquely horrible. For trying so hard to emulate classical architecture you'd think they could at least get a Corinthian column right.

They are both uniquely wretched in their own ways. That fresco does make me want to vomit though. Look at our elegant snouthome!

@stevenford1, how does it feel to have the same name, although spelled differently as a guy who murdered his parents with an axe?

Any resemblance to axe murderers, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

I came across this Mormon looking compound today.

https://www.google.com/maps/@50.9901...7i13312!8i6656

Because the 40 foot wide driveway isn't big enough there's also one in the yard as well as gravel extensions onto the lawn. Not a vehicle anywhere in sight when I was there today either.

It looks like it could be a polygamist compound. Or maybe just a JW community hall.

But isn't it great to know that classical architecture isn't dead?

Many cities have bylaws on what percentage of your lot the driveway can occupy. Not the case there?

That’s the case here as well. Not sure how this is allowed.

Kitchen is a hot mess. I don't know what happened to the ceiling here but it's out of control.

Missingsausage has got on the faux NYC Bandwagon and the results are predictably awful. Presenting C(r)aptiol Towers.
