Actually it was not only along the Silk Road, but also the Chinese border with Khazakhstan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Russia.
We flew from Taiwan to Macau for there's no direct flight across the strait, then took the bus to Guangzhou.
After entering Mainland China, we coutinued our trip by train.
Our first stop is Wuhan, then stop over at some important cities along the railway up to Xinjiang: Xi'an, Lanzhou, Jiayuguan, and Dunhuang.
Finally, we took the bus again to enter Xinjiang, which is the most remote province that the Chinese government controls.
During the 20 days in Xinjiang, we traveled along the border, climbed up to the Pamil Plateau, and crossed the Tian sierra.
We also took a two-day horse ride into the very inner rural area on the mountains.
The whole trip took 32 days, 1300 USD each, and it was just like a dream in the paradise.
