In architecture, a mascaron ornament is a face, usually human, sometimes frightening or chimeric whose function was originally to frighten away evil spirits so that they would not enter the building. The concept was subsequently adapted to become a purely decorative element. The most recent architectural style to extensively employ mascarons was Beaux Arts.

- Piaggio Ape:
Post World War II Italy, in light of its agreement to cessation of war activities with the Allies, had its aircraft industry severely restricted in both capability and capacity.
Piaggio emerged from the conflict with its Pontedera fighter plane plant completely demolished by bombing. Italy's crippled economy and the disastrous state of the roads did not assist in the re-development of the automobile markets. Enrico Piaggio, the son of Piaggio's founder Rinaldo Piaggio, decided to leave the aeronautical field in order to address Italy's urgent need for a modern and affordable mode of transportation for the masses.

- Porte Cailhau :
It was built at the end of 15th century and was part of the rampart as an arc de triomphe and also as a defensive door.

A sundial is a device that measures time by the position of the Sun. In common designs such as the horizontal sundial, the sun casts a shadow from its style (a thin rod or a sharp, straight edge) onto a flat surface marked with lines indicating the hours of the day. As the sun moves across the sky, the shadow-edge progressively aligns with different hour-lines on the plate.

It was formerly the residence of the archbishops of Bordeaux and is now Bordeaux city hall. It took three years to build and was completed in 1774.

The tramway network consists of three lines serving the city of Bordeaux. The system is notable for using a ground-level power supply system.

Grand Bar Castan :
This is probably one of the oldest Bordeaux city sites. Opened in 1890, it is called its first owner, Mr Castan.
