And for only really like 50 sellable units in the tower.

Beautiful tower, but seems like a lot for so few units.

It’s a complicated project. It’s a 1,400 ft structure that went up through a lanmarked building (people always forget that). Like 9 Dekalb, once the main shaft started rising, it went up pretty quickly. There have been some minor delays due to accidents and lawsuits, but we saw no real lag once it began to rise.

The lag seems to be long at the end though. The crown looks complete, so how much longer do they need the crane? With the bad luck they’ve had, you’d think they’d want it taken down ASAP.

The crown is where the last accident occured, and usnt really complete. There’s always lag at the top of these towers, as the most important aspects of construction are complete.

A few more months til this is lit up and becomes an instant NY icon! A beacon for the 21st century of architectural design! We need more art deco-styled buildings!

As amazing as this perspective of the skyline looks now, imagine how it will look in a few years with 175, 270, and 350 Park.

And Tower Fifth with 343 Madison as well. They would eclipse the Empire State Building soon.

The Chrysler Building is already largely buried. I hope that the ESB will remain prominently visible for many more decades, as it is NYC's second most recognizable landmark. (#1 is of course the Statue of Liberty.)
