The lot between the 2 offices is going to be a future office building. The Hilton will go along Hayden just North of the Nationwide Office building.

Disappointing revised proposal for the Scottsdale "Triangle" lot. At least it's better than most generic proposals for infill. Also still no movement on the Museum Square across the street.....

The revised "Kimsey" proposal. Too bad the theater venue on 3rd Ave will be demolished but at least they are saving the mid century modern retail building frontin' Indian School. Much needed density in the area.

Geez, I remember going up there in like '89 from Tucson and marveling how huge and cool Phoenix was....half the size then as now! PV was a very "California" cool mall at the time I thought. Bought a copy of TNT's Intuition album if I remember correctly lol

Unfortunately not, it’s too extremely hot outside. I can’t go out there. You gotta wait in the Fall. They will cool it down.

SLS Hotel coming to scottsdale

https://www.hospitalitynet.org/annou...cottsdale.html

Doesn't mention where this will be located in Scottsdale. I want to say its in Old Town but not sure. Says it has a Scottsdale Rd frontage address. Anyone have more details?

Your link has a map location at the top right that shows the location as the NW corner of Scottsdale Road and E 1st Ave.

Haha wow, my bad. I was viewing it on my phone originally and must have missed it. Thanks!! Seems like an odd spot for a 8-story building given the low density but I like it!

It actually might be a reincarnation of the Winfield Hotel proposal from a few years ago. The map doesn't line up exactly but 4221 N Scottsdale rd isn't too far off. The orientation and footprint seem to match.

Desco Arizona, LLC and Biltform Architecture are both showing associated with the Winfield Hotel proposal. Since they are both also listed for the SLS Hotel in the article, it's reasonable to assume it's the same location and probably a similar hotel concept.

Renderings of the first phase for the "Gentry on the Green" project near the Indian Bend Wash. Looks like they scrapped the grocery component that was slated for the first phase and have stuck to a smaller footprint for retail. Still an improvement from the existing conditions!

Scottsdale Waterview

Finally this site is getting off the ground after years of delays. I was just driving by this two days ago wondering when it was going to begin. Another empty lot bites the dust.

Wasn't clear in the article, this is the weird skinny lot on along the Canal north of the Saddlebag right?

That was my guess. Crappy reporting/editing in that article.

Weren't there like a range of 12 story towers proposed there? Across from the mall?

Wow those are lame for that location. Can always count on an out-of-state architect to layer on the beige.

Scottsdale has lost its mind shutting down projects with any height like SouthBridge II and approving value engineered trash like this.
