According to the Las Vegas Sun it is expected to be completed by November.

I took this pic with my iphone on Saturday from the top floor of Bellagio's parking garage.

Same as what was posted above, but I like the contrast between the Jockey Club, the Cosmo, and Harmon in the back.

if the old model is correct, there was 38 or is it 41 floors?? (and the crown) above the pool floor, now there are 20 floors (and the crown) above the pool floor

The old Las Vegas Sun article said The Harmon would be adapted to 28 stories. So, I'm guessing they are counting the crown as three stories?

In the above pic (and in person), it's really hard to tell that The Harmon is that much shorter than surrounding buidings due to its jetted position on The Strip.

I don’t know if anyone caught Nightline tonight, but it was about the water drainage tunnels underneath the strip that have become home to the homeless. I didn’t even know tunnels this large existed underneath the strip. Does anyone know the extent of these tunnels or when they were built? Here is a link to the story.

Well they are storm drainage tunnels. They extend for dozens of miles under the city and whenever it rains you will notice a significantly larger number of homeless show up out of nowhere.

There are some big graffiti art galleries under there:

here is a similar story with pictures from the London Sun.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...Las-Vegas.html

The storm drains openings are easy to see as you drive around. Everytime there is a heavy rain in Vegas, the weather and newspeople talk about them. The various washes like Flamingo wash and Rawhide wash and the several others all run thru town. They are above ground mostly, until they hit the areas covered by buildings and freeways, then they are covered. One wash goes right thru I believe Bally's parking structure and often fills the with water. Often there are cars there that get swamped.

That article confused the strip with Fremont street. lol

I didn't realize though that some people had so much stuff down there.

Were not going to have much to talk about when City Center finishes.

I hope Echelon starts up again early next year so we have something to talk about lol.

We still have Cosmopolitan, Hoover dam bypass, Encore beach club, and hopefully Fontainebleau.
