Those projects in Bridgeport and Norristown are impressive! I figured it was only a matter of time until the KoP development boom spilled into those areas.

Philadelphia to lift indoor mask mandate on Friday

Finally! Philadelphia returning to full normalcy. No indoor masks for vaccinated people and no more 11pm last call. (just in time for pride weekend).

Life sciences companies sign HQ leases in Chester County as deals begin to pick up
https://www.bizjournals.com/philadel...in-chesco.html

Quote:
...Frontage Laboratories signed a 10-year renewal on its 80,000-square-foot headquarters at 700 Pennsylvania Drive in Eagleview. It also signed another 70,000-square-foot, 10-year lease in a nearby building
...
XyloCor Therapeutics, a gene therapy company working on a treatment for patients with cardiovascular diseases, signed a lease on 3,800 square feet at 1550 Liberty Ridge in Chesterbrook. The space will serve as the fledgling company’s first headquarters.
...
“It’s a great location,” Gianchetti said. “The Philadelphia area in general is so rich in talent. When I first joined the company, some founders wanted to be in New York and I was able to convince them it was a talent-filled area with all of the biotech companies and universities.”
We just need these founders and company leaders to keep pitching the Philadelphia area as I still believe we are on the cusp of being a top 3 global Biotech hub up there with the likes of Boston.

I was passing through Ambler today and behind the renovated factory and train station there is something under construction. The core looks to be at least 4 stories. Any idea what it is? As a former resident, Ambler has a ton of potential. Butler Ave has a ton of great spots and there is room to grow near the train station.

I drove by the intersection of 63rd and Market last night. The old large surface lot behind the Milbourne el station has some big project going up. Has that been covered here?

I noticed a drill at the site of the new Salvation Army rehab center, thrift store and warehouse (just north of the 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington). So, looks like it's finally under construction. Relocating the Salvation Army center will be key before infrastructure work on the new "Riverfront East" can be completed.

Some dark pics from this morning:

It is probably the first link, and including two more neat projects:

I was riding around Conshy with a friend yesterday and nabbed these photos of Hotel West + Main. Happy to see this coming along. Every time I drive through Conshy it feels more and more like a biggish city.

Impressive project. I think its inevitable that Norristown will turn around, mostly due to KoP next door which is overflowing with development.

Interesting the article mentioned how much of a contradiction Norristown is when compared to neighboring county seats: Media, West Chester, Doylestown. A shame so much went wrong in that municipality throughout the decades.
