This one's now 40 stories. Start date is still Q1 2015 - which is now only 4 months away.

Start date has to be off. The wrong year? The modular offices for the Marriott construction were installed on this lot weeks ago and will remain way past Q1 2015.

Modular offices can always be moved.

We've already burned through 2 months of Q1 so the postponement was inevitable.

Wow, I like the perspective of this rendering. This side of Discovery Green is going to be really dense once this building and the Marriott are complete.

Wow, I was not expecting this to look as good as it does in that spot. That's going to be a fantastic little corner of The Green.

It seems like they emphasize certain parts of the building and leave other part to look really bad (the back of the Marriott)...

Block 98

If this is built it will be the icing on the cake for a region that not long ago was a wasteland. I hope Trammell Crow doesn't get cold feet the way they did for BallPark Place which was scheduled to be constructed where the current aprtments on Crawford are being built.

The reason for the delay will become clear in the next few months. If the other apartments which are to commence soon are also delayed then I doubt this is a problem about construction trailers. If TC proceeds with the Alexan downtown and /or the Marquette, or the Cosmopolitain begins its construction north of Minute Maid then odd as it sounds it may be the construction trailers on site. On the positive side the Alexan, the Marquette, and the Cosmopolitan apartments (if built) are eliminating three square blocks of surface parking lots.

It sounds like highrise properties are selling in other parts of town. Arabella and Treviso are getting a lot of interest. So I don't think it's inability to sell the units.

Home sales in Houston are still doing quite well despite the oil industry layoffs. That's a good sign for future development.

Is the start date still 3Q of 2016 for block 98? Don't know what it is for Camden Comte.

Trailers for the construction company working on the Marriott Marquis were placed here. The hotel will open this Fall so they will pack up and leave soon. New start date for Block 98 is 1Q 2017.
