It certainly feels like a success to me. I didn't go to the opening game (plan to attend at some point), but it's certainly something that feels accessible and exciting in this city at this point.

I propose a massive underground parking complex under Citadel Hill with entrances/exits at each corner. This would allow for more density downtown along with new permanent homes for the Schooners, Mooseheads and Wanderers. No, I am not inebriated.

We have talked about this on here before in other threads. It makes far too much sense for Halifax to ever do.

LOL. I remember when Frank Cameron, or maybe it was Jim Nunn (?) would have Ron W and then Mayor of Dartmouth John Savage on for their regular head to head chats. You just can't write funny like that.

it's not a terrible idea
there is parking under the Boston Common
entrances are on the edge of the property and then there are a a couple small buildings
on the Commons

Today's match against Pacific FC is Live on CBC Television and CBCsports.ca. Broadcast starts at 1:30pm AT.

https://www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/cpl...ream-1.5152025

Should be a good one with a sold out stadium and a sunny warm day.

Stadium was indeed sold out. Bit of an up and down game for HFX, came out strong in the second half but didn't look overly great in the first. I like Kouroruma and Iida up front, and I think Schaale on the backend is really steady. Oxner wasn't terrible so that's a plus.

I wasn't sure that it was sold out at first. Once the fans filed in from the beer tents it looked awesome. I love that our fans are loud! I love that almost everyone in attendance had a jersey on. The game was looking like it was going to go Pacific's way as they kept finding holes down the right side, but that penalty kick provided the boost they needed.

Can't wait for the next one.

You know, considering the weather they have had to deal with at the home stadium this is exceptional. Well done Halifax!!

Wanderers attendance was over 100,000 for the inaugural season (including CanChamp).

Averaged over 6,000 per game.

Wednesday's night final game highlights:

I went to the game, it was a great atmosphere for the final game of the season.

Final was Hfx Wanderers FC 1 - Pacific FC 1

Already looking forward for next years home season. One more to go, and I'm willing to bet it'll end in a 1-1 tie.

Wanderers grounds is getting a $30 million parking garage with almost 1000 spaces next door courtesy of the QEII Redevelopment.

Well luckily the Wanderers games are mostly after work hours and on weekends, so the hospital people and the soccer people shouldn't really be competing for parking spots
