We have a saying in our language (NO, that's not Arabic): "A moron threw a stone in the river ... scores of idiots jump in to catch it and bring it back a shore"

So keep it up ... be hilarious

LOL

ONCE AGAIN. THIS IS NOT A PROJECT PROPOSED FOR DUBAI. THIS IS JUST SOME FAKE STUFF SOME IDIOT MADE IN HIS PC AND IS LAUGHING HIS ASS OFF TO OTHER IDIOTS OF THE SAME MINDSET, TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY.

Was I clear enough? Can we close this and move on to real stuff?

^ Please, this wouldn't even be that much of a reach for Dubai considering some, no, many other proposals out there that are just about as insane. Those laughing at this are probably still laughing at a bunch of other crap that IS real.

I know I sound like the typical asshole who posts hateful things about Dubai out of jealousy and/or racist grounds, but I assure you, I wish the city the best. I just also happen to dislike some of the developments there.

Seattle just took into this idea. Developers in Seattle have now proposed, 'The Opening,' an area of negative space supported 300m in the air by beams resembling sun, with the intent of creating a year round patch of sky in a place where sky is about as often as rain in Dubai.

Well, its just an initial concept.

Everyone often comes from really crazy concepts to begin with. I'm sure the concept of a cloud building will develop over time.

Maybe rather than a whole mass of thin beams, they could just go with a dozen wide ones, and then have a large structure resting on top. Crazy in concept, but someone will build something 'cloud city' style eventually. As ever, Dubai will be the most likely country for such a bold and exciting project.

Attention seeking at best. I have to give them credit though for even visionizing structures of that sort. When it comes to skyscrapers, thinking big is the best way the think.

I hope this one stays on the drawing board....looks terrible on the skyline and I doubt with all the winds Dubai has that this thing could be stablized.

Come on guys, it's not a vision, it's not a concept, is just a JOKE from someone who has nothing to do with Architecture and Enginering but it seams to be a good graphic ilustrator.
