The Odeon looks so sleek! I love it. Any retail announcements yet?

Also, looks like 3100 Banks Street in Mid City will be ready by next month.

I think it looks like a budget hotel off of Times Square, with those punched windows and cheap metal panel system:

Examples etc

I'm actually fine with this style in NY (great filler) but in NOLA, on the tallest new building in decades? Ugh. A great architectural city deserves something better. FWIW I thought Beacon, Standard and the parking garage were great. Clearly Domain is not allergic to good design... but Odeon and Paramount are kinda sad.

I didn’t get a chance to snap a picture, but I passed the oil & gas building and they have installed a good bit of the new glass facade and it was getting a good pressure washing.

It may be mid-October, but it's officially pool season at Hotel Saint Vincent! Construction progress on the #comingsoon boutique hotel is moving along swimmingly, and the completion of the pool marked a schedule milestone for the project team. Next up - mosaic tiles, finish plaster, and landscaping to transform the pool area into a true tropical oasis. #palmisanoprojects

Curious to know what they're doing on South Claiborne with those structures being demolished between 4215 and 4227. Probably a strip mall, just based on the other recent developments in that general stretch? And the Canopy Hotel is going to really make that stretch a lot nicer. It's kind of the last major thing right there that's felt run-down.

Drive Shack driving range in New Orleans back 'on track' thanks to a boost of new money

After construction delays caused by money trouble at its corporate parent, work on the Drive Shack driving-range complex at the site of the former Times-Picayune building on Howard Avenue appears to be back on track.

The "golf-entertainment" venue, which is being built on a site owned by developer Joe Jaeger and partners, has been beset by difficulties since it was announced two-and-a-half years ago, the latest being a series of lawsuits by contractors demanding payment on overdue bills that had stacked up during the coronavirus pandemic.

But on Monday, Drive Shack's New York-based owner said it had sold its Rancho San Joaquin golf course, located in Irvine, California, for $34.5 million, giving it funds to continue work on the stalled $29 million New Orleans project as well as a mini-golf venture in Dallas known as The Puttery.

“Our plan to successfully launch The Puttery and open our New Orleans Drive Shack venue remains on track for 2021," Hana Khouri, Drive Shack CEO, said in a prepared statement. "Proceeds from this sale, coupled with ongoing measures currently in place, provides capital to fund these commitments and navigate the current environment."
