Parks look nicer when the grass is green, but... still a great shot.

Pedestrian Walkway for Convention Center

A pedestrian walkway is being proposed for the area between the new Convention Center and the Omni Hotel.
Presumably, this will make for a more comfortable environment for convention attendees.
It might also attract more general foot traffic around the area.

Location:

It will feature some large shade canopies as well as signage markers.

Hotel complex near I-235 and I-40

I've nearly forgotten about this spot with all the other activity around.

Near I-235 and I-40, an old trucking terminal run by Central Freight Lines was purchased for redevelopment by Joshua Joseph, out of Dallas.
This was back in 2016.

Joseph saw the site as an entrance to Bricktown.
His plans called for a total of 4 hotels on the location.
The first was to be a Candlewood Suites.

https://www.okctalk.com/showthread.php?t=41861

The large triangular plot immediately to the west was also slated for new construction as a storage facility.
Completely separate development, as far as I know, despite it starting at around the same time.

The old trucking site was basically a junkyard and required remediation.
It was assisted by OERB (Oklahoma Energy Resources Board) who had to plug up an old oil well and remove contaminated debris.
This remediation took a while to finish up before construction began.

The Candlewood Suites hotel was topped out at that point.

The Candlewood Suites was finished at that point and open for business.
Construction had begun for a new Best Western hotel.

The third hotel, a Country Inn, had just started construction.

Finally, just about a week ago...

Three of the hotels are finished.
One more to go... which should be a Sleep Inn.
However, there is a possibility that the fourth building may be an assisted living center.

I-235 was shut down near the I44 junction Friday night as construction crews install the new flyover ramps.
It should reopen by Monday morning.

The demo phase is in full swing, but probably about to finish.
The buildings are fully gutted at this point.

The Sentinel

A new 5 story mixed use building is being proposed at 1130 N. Harvey.
This will be located to the west of the Monarch, a newly constructed office building.
It will but against a parking garage behind it and front Harvey Avenue.

The ground floor is to be a mix of residential and office space.
The four floors above that will be residential.

Here's a closer look:

That's from a photo from about a year ago when the Monarch was still in active construction.
The site area is already cleared (razed by bulldozer) from the work on the garage behind the Monarch.
Previously, it was occupied by a parking lot.

Another view, looking west:

This is also based on an older photo from last spring.
It does give a good view of the surrounding area, including a couple of nearby amenities.

The Collective is a new food hall.
The Bleu Garten is a popular food truck park.
Both are a short distance to the south along Harvey.

Here's a photo showing the Bleu Garten on a busy evening:
