For example last night's MTL-TOR opener was on TVA Sports. The next Habs game will be on RDS.

Habs' playoff games are always on TVA Sports I think, though there haven't been many in recent years.

The deal, which looked like a major coup at the outset, has ended up being a bit of a bust for TVA Sports, due to the Habs' crappy performance and missing the playoffs most years.

McDavid nothing.
Gotta wonder if his 24th birthday is getting to him.

For a child prodigy he really isn't getting anywhere with the oilers.

He seems like a pretty self conscious person, gotta be tearing him up inside.

Oh ya its got to be so frustrating year after year for him.
I expect him to have a big night tonight for the rematch.

Looks like the jets are trying to outdo the hostility of habs-leafs game.

Laine has become my favorite jet. My wife was just about to goto sleep, with the narrative that she wasn't really interested in the beginning of the season. Now's she's super up on watching the end of this.

Lolz.

A good way to rebound from yesterday's mess; nice to see a few people contributing.

Guess we'll have to hope for a bounce back against Calgary. It is very heartening as a Canucks fan that we are still adding pieces, such as Hoglander. The kid is freakishly strong, as we saw tonight when he outmuscled Nurse, who is very big. Hoglander is tenacious (on top of being skilled), as is Podkolzin, who will be here in May. The Canucks are about to be a very deep team.

The Canucks are already spending to the cap and they need to sign Pettersson and Hughes this offseason. Letting Sutter, Pearson, Edler, and Hamonic go probably isn't enough to sign both long-term. It's possible they can also get some coin once Benn and Baertschi come off the books but it'll be tight. Doesn't help that they're still giving Luongo $3M/year in recapture

So who will get the coveted semi final spot and probably to be swept in 4 games?

What're the odds on Mcdavid winning the Art Ross this year? Feel like he feeds on Canadian teams and everyone is going to take a beating from him at some point this year.

Matthews plays pretty well against Ottawa and Montreal, would love to see him make a run at the Rocket.

I wonder if there is any advantage to playing at home this year without any fans.

I still think home ice is preferable. Your own dressing room and it's amenities. I've been in the visitors room in Toronto and it was pretty spartan, barely nicer than a newer suburban arena around town. Plus sleeping in your own bed at night, possibly with family with you. Plus the game itself, you have the last line change, and while the crowd isn't there, they are pumping in the home crowd noise, goal horn, etc.

Poor positioning, a million odd-man rushes and missed opportunities...

Line changes? The biggest advantage even with fans there.
