Churchill continues to gain in importance as the hub of Edmonton transit.

I didn't realize that a set of stairs was added in front of Milner as part of the project. I assume those are already open to the public?

Although there's a lot of criticism out there about surface LRT, a major advantage is the ability to jump on a train and travel a few stops to get around instead of having to go down a few levels to a subway platform.

Partial view of the completed station:

Progress at Corso Italia station from Gladstone overpass. An infill station along the northern edge of Trillium Line between Bayview and Dow's Lake (previously called Carling), the immediate area will be home to 7,000 new residents in the coming years, centered around Gladstone Village, which will have 1,110 units, a French elementary school, park and expanded Plante Recreation Centre.

Is it just me or does this look like the Skytrain with poles sticking up?

This station always reminded me of a 75% Brentwood.

Dow's Lake (previously Carling) station. It will remain single track, but a new platform twice the length will be built and new double elevators will be added.

Bayview expansion progress. Consists of doubling the length of the old platform, adding a second set of tracks with side platform, a new bridge over the tracks that connects a new (third) station entrance on the MUP.

Queensview Station will serve suburban business parks and big box stores on both sides of the Queensway, including our massive IKEA and Postmedia offices and printing press. A few low-density residential areas are also walking distance.

New Queensview Station rendering.

Vs the original Queensview rendering.

Eglinton Crosstown (Scarborough Section)

The following I took yesterday (cloudy day), and about a week ago (sunny day). The amount of progress being made on the surface level areas in the east end of this streetcar project is impressive, it's looking much more complete now....
Here's Pharmacy station, which is a few stops from the eastern terminus:

And this is east toward Lebovic Avenue:

Just to get an idea of the construction:

A recent site plan of Lincoln Fields Station. The Parkway-Byron tunnel ends just north. Line's 1 and 3 split South of the station.

During regular hours, all trains will use the centre platform. To transfer between the outbound Lines 1 and 3, riders will exit the train and catch the next one (with outbound trains splitting 50/50). Late night when service is reduced to 15 mins, Line 3 trains will end at Lincoln Fields at the side platform, so all passengers heading inbound will have to get off, up to the concourse and down to the centre platform.

The station will have public washrooms, retail and a fare-paid bus loop.

Trillium Line updates from O-Train Fans.

Uplands. This will be a station on the Airport spur, serving a major events/trade show centre (EY Centre).

Mooney's Bay. Line station along the original O-Train.

Walkley. Infill line station along the original O-Train route.

Greenboro. Formerly the terminus of the original O-Train route. One of two transfers to the S/E Transitway.

South Keys. New station that will act as a transfer to the S/E Transitway and the Airport spur.

By the end of the year, about half the rails should be installed and all five stations under construction.

TransEd provided a full update last night around the Downtown section of the line.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UtVVA-E5Kc&t=4s

We had hoped for an Aug/Sept opening or 9 months late, but they are saying 'end of year now' which doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things/COVID, but is certainly disappointing to hear.
