They just cover open spots, they will remove before the glass goes up there

great pictures, One Liberty looks so cool from between the two bigger towers.

That elevator system is coming down pretty quick, and can anyone tell me how they get the crane itself down? I don't remember seeing how they got it up there?

anyone with knowledge of the project plan know when we can expect glass on the top of the lantern? Or at least for those green boards to be replaced with glass? That'll really give us a better idea what the final product will look like, since... well, it'll be the final product.

Also - now that the exterior is >90% complete, that blue tape is becoming an eyesore. How / when does it get pulled off? I figured maybe it would just naturally wear away, but if that was the case it would have done so by now.

What we are witnessing is construction.
During the construction phase of any skyscraper, there will be temporary elements set in place, such as exterior elevators, glass film protectors, etc. specifically for the purpose of construction.

I say just practice patience.
The time will come when the exterior shall be complete.

That’s the time when it shall be enjoyed for skyscraper fans.

For example, I plan on lots of photography of this magnificent skyscraper after the exterior phase is complete.

While I realize that may not properly answer your pressing question, it is the process that happens.

Unless you change your career to become a construction worker, laboring heavy equipment every single day, risking your life to build a trophy tower to enhance a skyline, all you can do is admire those that do the heavy lifting.

Happy New Years!!

I'd like to hear more about this "construction."

I believe in order to get the blue tape off, they have a series of folks grab one end and do a Tarzan swing until the it has been completely removed. Comcast is charging a fee for the 'ride'.

I predict the lantern glass to be done by late January to mid February

Schuylkill Yards and 30th Street Station District should take care of that.

Absolutely not, the Roxborough radio towers are iconic. And they only show up prominently from very select angles anyway. They don’t affect the skyline in person.
