Has downtown St. Louis been doing well compared with competing corporate suburban nodes like Clayton? What do you think the future of downtown St. Louis holds?

I took a vacation just to see St. Louis in 2003 and loved it. What a great city you have along with the sheer, old style urbanity, amazing architecture and a good street grid with vibrant neighborhoods.

^ my impression is that residential is doing great (something like >90% occupancy last i heard) but that office space vacancy is still pretty high. i do think the empty space will start filling up as the DT population grows though.
