So is HK actually in China or is it a seperate entity?

^^ That is the "Chinatown" district of Manila. Historically the "barrio chino" since Spanish period.

At least in the big cities such as Manila, the Philippines often indeed feel more like a Latin American country instead of an Asian one. Being the only Christian East Asian country and having lots of Spanish colonial architecture certainly has a lot to do with it.

Well, for the most part the photos are from my travels and not from places I've lived. So far I've only lived in three countries: My native Germany, the Netherlands and Taiwan.
