It’s because this website isnt properly updated which would block the ads with the popups and cookies

If you go to SSP behind some big corporate firewall, it gives warnings that this website isn’t safe for browsing and the pages take long to load and by the time they do, there’s a lot of stuff scrubbed.

It’s embarrassing. The site is almost unusable.

How much to buy SSP from the current owners who obviously don't give a fuck about this community anymore? I've been complaining about these redirects for months and they do nothing. Don't even respond...

It's a shame because this forum could probably be really profitable if run correctly. I would gladly pay $5 a month or something to get no ads at all and maybe access to a special "members only" section to lock out the trolls.

Same. For those of us who use this site several times a day it would be a nobrainer.

I experience the issue when accessing SSP via my phone as well. So damn frustrating. Best remedy is to turn off wifi. Not sure how it works, but the pop ups stop when browsing through cellular network.

Lol thought I was the only one getting redirects on my phone. Not as bad as it used to be, but still sucks.

I complained about this in one of the threads about a month ago. It really is too bad.

I went into my phone’s settings, then the browser and selected “block all cookies” and disable java script. It will disable advertising content and amazon pop-ops up will go away.

The $11 ticket gets you in as early as 6:00am, and you get up-and-down privileges so you can come back for sunset.
Looks like a cool event, but the link isn't working for me (I have to log in to eventbrite and then it says "you do not have permission for this event"). I wonder if the link you copied is an organizer link, rather than a public link?

I had this a lot when using Safari on my iPhone until I downloaded & started using the Firefox app. I haven’t had a problem since with accessing this website.

TOD policy is getting expanded to more bus routes. Curbed article:

Quote:
In October, the mayor announced that the Chicago Avenue and 79th Street bus routes would be part of the expansion. Now eight high-ridership corridors with 20 bus lines are part of the proposal which includes 55th and Garfield Boulevard, 63rd Street, Ashland Avenue, North Lake Shore Drive, South Lake Shore Drive, and Western Avenue.
Glad to see more south and west side areas on the list.
