Parcel O update

YIMBY shared new renderings for Parcel O in Lakeshore East. Construction planned for no earlier than October 2021, done by April 2024.

Don’t have/know how to post photos but the “mews” at 167 n green is absolutely spectacular. Really interesting space

^^Classless animals, that's whats wrong. Unless the building was in serious disrepair, which it doesn't look like from the condition of the exterior masonry, there's no reason to destroy such fine craftsmanship.

Yeah.. They could have incorporated it. It would have been more expensive, but if the city mandated it, the developer would have been required to incorporate the facade or not build. We need better landmarking in Chicago. In DC and Toronto, they allow facademies to preserve their mediocre old building where we demo outright gems left and right...
