There's a lot of diversity in the church designs too, even though most are Catholic. One of the best examples of the architectural eclecticism being Byzantine St. Michael and St. Anthony.

A few from Halifax:

Some development sites visible here. New art gallery site is on the left, and foreground is the Ralston redevelopment (22 floors if I remember correctly). Then Cunard and the Governor are a bit farther out and will have an impact on this view.

The blue lit monument here (which I don't think was lit until recently) is the Halifax Explosion memorial. This spot used to be Fort Needham. That is the area that was destroyed by the explosion in 1917. The foreground is the Irving shipyard.

It's been lit as long as i can remember but it was always purple. Not sure if they changed it or if it just came out that way in the image.

Nice. I've never been to Montreal in the winter, but i have to admit the snow is actually quite flattering.

Hard to beat Montreal in the winter. It's been a true winter winderland here. With the best snow-ball snow-man snow I've seen in years. The weather was perfect.

They're all dreamy, but if forced to choose I would go with the middle photos of the last two rows. They're extra dreamy.

Queens Marquee turned out well. Is there any interest in turning Upper Water Street from a one way to two way road? And do the same on Hollis? That stretch of Barrington Street in the 2nd photo is almost built out. I suppose they'll intensify a few of those lots but it's almost maxed out.

Great shots of Victoria. Are all of those commercial strips downtown? Or do any peripheral neighbourhoods have strips like those as well?

I'll reserve judgement until spending time in the former, but until then i remain skeptical.

Victoria stops being vibrant after 8 pm, and even then it’s a stretch. I doubt Halifax is that bad.
