Chamberlin, New Jersey

Well, making a return by popular demand is Chamberlin. I decided to take on this city once again because I had a lot of fun creating it and still feel there is much more I can do to make it better.

The changes, or should I say developments, that I will be making to the city is extending the skyline over Chamberlin Bay to make a new Central Business District (The Chamberlin skyline you know of will be the Downtown), create a detailed infastructure (rail lines, highways, and either a bridge or tunnel), finish the University of Chamberlin, and create a better looking waterfront.

The pattern I've noticed in making these cities is that I work on them too fast which alters myself becoming board of them. That shouldn't be a problem this go around, so expect updates on weekends and Fridays.

Here is just an opening shot of Downtown Chamberlin to kick off the re-birth of the city.

Awesome. You do work on them a little too fast though. Textures would be nice in your city. Specially since you live in New York and have so many options to choose from.

Please TRY or TRI( ) textures. do you have a Microsoft? MS paint textures are probably going to have about the same file size as your silly Lines. Remember Staunton?!

Get to work! I love the architecture so Much!

Lol, I don't mean it in a bad way. But I just mean in like the city grows a little too fast and he gets bored of it fast or it gets full. But yeah, Dac, you and me are both noobs at textures. Well, at least I am. I played around with textures and I don't have quite the hand of it yet. We should practice .

Alek- Yeah, perhaps trying out some textures wouldn't be a bad idea. I have microsoft, but I guess I have to load up the 'MS Paint" software to make it work. Correct?

treras- Glad you like the city, as most of you do, which is why I'm bringing it back. I'll give a good amount of updates, but not as many as in my past cities.

austin- well, you'll without a doubt see some good stuff to come from this. I'll play around with the textures, but I wouldn't say they'll match up to what Patrick has done.

Guys, expect and update of the Central Business District grid tomorrow.

Looks good. It reminds me of Canary Wharf in that picture for some reason. Awesome grid system too.

The buildings shapes are sooooo nice, and the cities infrastructure is sooooo well done, just wish you would add textures to your towers. The city would look awesome.

That last image looks good too. I can imagine it with windows and it would look awesome.

Thank you Alek! I'm going to see if I can add some textures to the buildings, because I too can picture what it would look like and I'm liking it. I want to get all the highway work done first though before I move into that stage.

If anyone would like to take on the role of adding textures to my city, sort of like a joint effort (I build them, you texture them), I'd be open to that.

Thank you treras, I appreciate it. I too like it without the textures, but at the same time wouldn't mind seeing what it would look like with them. Perhaps down the road a little I'll try out textures, but for now I'll keep it white.

Thank you austin. I will keep the idea in mind, but for now I'll keep it white.

Here is just a shot looking up at (from left): The Maersk Building, 2 Chamberlin IBC, and 1 Centennial Plaza. Big update Friday. >>>>>>>>>>>>>
