New bag policy (assume NHL wide) shared today and similar to the CFL. It's going to piss off a lot of ladies.

Either way I love it but that is only if you are double vaccinated

Doesn't look like Travis Hamonic is going to play for Vancouver because he won't get vaccinated.
Looks like playing in Calgary rubbed off on him a bit too much lol.

I wasn't aware of any Flames refusing to get a shot?

Travis is also Metis, its not talked about a lot but there is some vaccine hesitancy in indigenous people.

Calgary is at 80% eligible fully dosed, 70% total pop, but ok. Have your hur dur Calgary bad moment.

Haha well hey Calgarian said anything goes in the NHL thread to there we go.
Nationally speaking I live very close to Alberta but it seems like such a different place than here westward.

I see that the Seattle Kraken beat Vancouver in their first ever NHL pre-season game.

Will they be the Vegas Golden Knights all over again???

Well we mostly dressed our AHL team with our 4th goaltender so no way to tell.
But they did look pretty good.

Tonight it's Vancouver vs Calgary in Abbotsford with our mostly NHL squad with our two best players still unsigned.

Oilers beat the Flames 4-0 in their first matches.

All four goals were netted in a 12mins run during the second period.

The Leafs will do what they do best of late. Strong in the regular season, choke in the playoffs.

With the divisions back to normal, the Habs will struggle to make the playoffs. Crazy to think that they would have struggled to make the playoffs last year as well, had the divisions not realigned.

Not that crazy, since they actually did struggle to make the playoffs WITH re-aligned divisions.

Is Shane Wright any good?

Feels like the Flames are trying to tank this season.

Generational. Bedard is incredibly good, too. The next two or three drafts are very good and teams probably should be tanking if they have no shot at the playoffs this year, IMO. Guess which team has eight draft picks in the first two rounds of the 2022 draft and is also tanking.

The Flames are not trying to tank, no. They've just made bad decisions like signing Gudbrandson.

Canucks are going to be good this year. Reports of OEL’s game declining have been exaggerated. Being in Arizona, Garland hasn’t gotten much exposure, but he is highly skilled puck hound type player. He is a top line player, but looks like he will play second line with Miller at C and Podkolzin on LW. Podkolzin is going to be a physical force, and he can produce.

Some really good additions will push the Canucks easily into a playoff spot.

Seattle's first ever visit to Rogers Place. Not digging the jerseys on tv but I will give them time.

Nurse with a nice end to (sorta) end.

Perlini looking at home and confident.

Hyman is going to be a machine on this team.

McDavid McDavid'ing.

120mins without a goal... sure preseason but still impressive.

Oilers fans will love Hyman for the first two years at least. I fear his play style will have his game declining rather early, but it is a treat to watch him play at 110%, every shift, every game.

If teams are trying to tank then not only will the Flames try to or the Canucks could decide to tank or even the Senators especially if it means landing Bedard or Wright

^ Bedard isn't draft eligible until 2023 so hopefully no one is tanking for him this season
