MIAMI | Kenect Miami | 810 + 410 FT | 79 + 39 FLOORS
REVEALED: TWIN TOWER KENECT MIAMI PROPOSED AT MIAMI WORLDCENTER WITH 39 & 79 STORIES
Quote:
Chicago developer Akara Partners is planning a two phase project at Miami Worldcenter called Kenect Miami.
Only the first tower has been submitted for review by Miami’s Urban Development Review Board at this time.
The first phase will include a 39-story, 410-foot tower. A second phase is planned with a 79-story, 810-foot tower.
As with the rest of Worldcenter, walkability and an improved pedestrian and transit experience is a key focus of the developer, along with minimizing parking. Access to the Eleventh Street Metromover Station will be improved with new landscaping and open space, while parking and service access to the project will be limited to only NE 11 Street.
Most units in the 39-story tower will be micro-sized with a focus on affordability. Residents will have access to generous amenity and shared spaces, according to attorney Melissa Tapanes Llahues, who represents the developer in the application.
The 79-story second tower will include bigger unit sizes compared to the first tower, but most will still be under 1,000 square feet.
The first phase will include 450 residential units with 436,258 square feet of floor area, and 251 parking spaces. The total for both phases will be 918 dwelling units, 16,000 square feet of retail, with a combined 1,100,000 square feet of floor area.
