Why is Chicago planning only one casino?

As it should. As much as I love this development (specifically the 78 on the river design) I would never want Chicago to become Las Vegas. Nor NYC, or LA, or whatever city. There's a place for things, and if you're willing to gamble thousands in a casino you can pay for a plane ticket to Vegas.

More in the fwiw category but Bally's appears to be upping their PR game. They had a couple prime time commercials during 60 minutes slot in the Chicago market tonight. Could just be par for the course but I thought it was interesting considering public perception probably has limited impact on the selection process.

Do you have a link to these PR buys. Last time it was mentioned I went to Youtube and Ballys site and I found nothing.

I was prepping dinner and unfortunately didn't catch the link. DVR wouldn't let me rewind but it was NOT the generic www.ballys.com/chicago/ so could contain some new info if someone happened to catch it

I saw several Bally's ads during the college football games I was watching on Saturday... So yes, they're definitely stepping up their PR game. Perhaps it's that they know they're the underdogs right now?
