Austin | Rise | 294 Feet | 26 Floors | Complete

There is no height information available for this project yet. But it could be another 300 footer because it's in the area of West Campus that is zoned for a maximum roof height of 300'. A site plan for a project named "Nueces Tower" at 2206 Nueces St. was filed Wednesday. We could have information about the height in three or four weeks after the site plan goes into review:

https://abc.austintexas.gov/public-s...ertyrsn=268131

The current West Campus 300' projects are:

St. Austin School & Apartments - 325' - Proposed
Waterloo - 321' - U/C
Union on 24th - 312' - Proposed

Here's the front of the site from Nueces St.:

Here it is from the alley running through the block in back of the site:

When did Union on 24th drop to 312 feet? I still had 320 feet listed for it from the elevations.

312' is the number I came up with for Union on 24th when I first looked at the elevations. I hadn't read the thread (that dropped to page 3!) until today since I started it back in May. I see that you posted a comment that the height was 320' based on the same elevations I looked at. I still come up with 312'. There were newer elevations posted to the site plan in October that may be slightly different than the first ones. I would post them, but Imgur has been down all day. It's the "AWPE U1 Red Line Comments" file attachment.

This project is in conceptual stage presently, but is calling for a 24 story building with 338 Units. Groundbreaking slated for Summer of '21.

Nice info. That means it will will be less than 300' - maybe 250' - 275'. But it has moved passed conceptual since a site plan was filed.

26-stories counting the amenities level. Just shy of 300' at 291'. Maybe 294'.

Agreed. This is about 294'/295'...those two mechanical pieces stick up above the 291' mark.

Both taller and nicer looking that your average West Campus build.

According to a new right-of-way closure permit, construction starts (or at least the right-of-away needed for construction is closed) on 07/06.

Great update and nice view. Just imagine if all of Central Austin was zoned accordingly. We would not be having a housing shortage. This is a city, and dense residential buildings are where people in the city live. If anyone wants a suburban lifestyle, move to the suburbs.

Right!! Electing housing skeptics never goes well. Big elections next year. Mayor, Tovo, Kitchen and Renteria are all termed out!
