And in ten years, they probably will be fighting for that. Their historic stadium will be surrounded on all sides by new development, and they just can't support that.

The soccer balls are a little kitsch for me, but otherwise, I like it.

My god, that's the prettiest thing I've ever seen. I wish they had put it out sooner to convince more people earlier on.

I love the conceptual rendering of the McKalla station. Thanks for posting atxsnail.

We flew another drone flight yesterday (Sunday - 10/25/2020 mid-afternoon). Here is the link containing the flights videos/pictures organized by date. It was cool seeing the grass in place and the seats going in.
Cheers!

Got by and took a couple pictures of soccer square. You can actually go in through the back if you use the stadium "side entrance" in the trees on the southwest side.

Also looks like the bracing is starting to go in for the mesh seats on the lower east side.

Thank you so much for this. As much as I love the Austin FC videos. There are so many quick cuts you can't see anything. I appreciate the ability to just soak it all in.

Yep. Give people the content they crave. So excited about it. Can't wait to be in a rolling party from Lakeline Station down to the stadium on game days.

morning19, I can't see your pictures.

Mind uploading them to another sharing site? Imgur is pretty good.

Sure does, thanks. I was actually wanting a closer look at that demolition.

The fact that they have fences around the trees makes me think they may try to preserve them.

If you drive around to where the justice of the peace is you can essentially enter the property and walk around. I am going to try and get some more decent photos in the next few days. I'm really excited about this property and hope it add valuable gameday options to the stadium.

^^ Yes, and now we can lose the cheesy soccer balls on top and just go with an awesome station at the stadium.

Hate to be the Party Pooper but we may not have entirely won on project connect. If Biden doesn't win Elaine Chao will possibly block the federal funding we need. However it's possible that the money we have will be enough for the same or a diminished form of Project Connect and it's also possible that the Next Secretary of Transportation will be a real professional.

Even the Trump admin has been distributing federal grants as expected under previous administrations, and a Biden win is still likely.

I like the soccer balls honestly, it gives the station a theme and sets it apart from the other stations. It's next to the soccer stadium so why not?
