OH! Well, if it's on their website then every word of it must be true!

A couple of good jolts.

Yes, well if you're trying to get an idea of when a project will be open, what else do you have to go off except an actual person working for the project tell you on their social media account it will be open 2024 and also stating on their website it will be open 2024

You may be right, that it will take longer, but these are the facts that I have gathered thus far about the opening date.

Little worried about 520 Mateo. It's been a hole in the ground for a while now. Hope it didn't get caught up in the scandal.

Looks like you're right. Got an email from Angeles Landing...

"Angels Landing Partners, LLC hopes to have the project built and open to the public in time for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games."

Why does so many LA projects have to be bland, boring and borderline ugly?

I don't know if you are aware... but we're not particularly concerned with physical appearance here in LA. We're more concerned with what's underneath.

I'm in Mexico, so I missed it

But, FUN FACT!

The "spooky warning" you felt was the quake's P-waves, which move through rock the same way sound waves move through air, as a compression wave. They are about twice as fast as the S-waves, which are the rolling waves that caused the more violent shaking a few seconds later.

Earthquake alert systems like what LA is building, and like what Mexico City and Japan already have in place, rely heavily on that difference between the initial primary compression and the much more dangerous s-waves to give people a few extra seconds to drop, cover, and hold on before things start breaking apart around them.

Oh, look, someone criticizing me for posting the same thing over & over again, yet is one of those ppl who criticizes the design or height of new devlpt in LA, dtla included, over & over & over....& over.....again.

when you look in the mirror, you may see this staring back at you....

Meanwhile, a long overdue clean up of a part of broadway, the tower theater bldg being converted into an apple store....as for the old may co bldg across the street, that's regrettably turning out to be that area's version of fig's oceanwide proj.

Wow! This is the first image I've seen with the restored Pyramid on the top of the clock tower. It's been destroyed since The Earthquake and has sat destroyed with a flat top for decades. Love this!!! Thanks Apple
