SSP Competition: Railway Station

Congratulations to Burjdubai91 for winning the Convention Center Competition.

Our next comp will be Railway Station. Burjdubai91 hasn't specified what kind of railway so I'm assuming anything from trains, to light-rail to monorail is okay. It will be open to these options unless he chooses a specific type of rail system.

Official Rules: These rules apply to all competitions. No exceptions
1. DO NOT put any copyright, names or any writing that gives voters the hint that it's your entry. Entries with names/copyrights will not be posted in the voting thread.
2. One entry per forumer.
3. Send the Aleks your entry with the competition title. Example: "Green Comp Entry"
4. Entries should not include more than 10 renderings/shots.
5. If you win a competition once and then win in the second comp you will not be able to pick the third comp. The second place winner will choose the third comp.

Competition Rules:
1. Any style is okay. From Art Deco to modern.
2. If you're going to make your station for the SSP-City you need to use the lot here [waiting for Mo]
3. Maximum of 6 floors [including underground]

Let's get this forum rollin again shall we?

okay... the railway station could be for any type of train so there's more design freedom... it could be in any locale, city or town... just as long as they facilitate trains... post ur comments and suggestions... the other comp I had in mind was an 'in Dubai' comp... sorry Alex for the late reply...

railway station is a much better competition than "in dubai"

I'll try to get something done for this but I start school soon so I might run out of time

Ok does it have to be a new ultra modern station like it was just constructed, or can it be old like art deco or something? because for the bridge i misunderstood and made it old rather than modern.

.

Time would be my only issue....would need alot ,2 weeks at
least.Reason being unlike buildings which are empty shells
....a train station has an open interior and xtras like tracks
and trains etc....
Plus i have to work.

any train station design will do so it could be a station using art deco styles or modern... and one of the reasons I picked this comp is to help contrib to ssp city for a railway station...lol

If it's going to be used for the SSP then you need to provide a lot Mo.

But I think we should also let people do stations not for the SSP City.

I think I'll participate in this one if I find the time.

And for the next one, how's about we all design the WTC PAC? That one is pretty wide open and each modeller must take into account the context of the surrounding buildings.

But back on topic: Good luck everyone!

Question: Is there a size limit on the station? Like should it be small? Can it be a big station?

I also updated the rules so you guys don't have to read every comment.

the station could be of any size. It could be 'grand central' large, or it could be your normal sized station. What we want here is like how we are to innovate or to bring new/old concepts into making a relevant station for our present time. But i guess it's just as well that I provide some parameters. Max. floors are 6, and that counts the underground floors as well. U can choose to add the trains itself or not, but what really matters is the station design.

Yeah as much as it is a good idea i reckon modeling just for SSP city will limit your options.

Saying that we do need a station for SSP city, Although any model that is created for SSP city should not be judged on how it suits SSP city - rather it should be judged as a separate project that may be used in SSP city.

So modeling for SSP city is just an option.
Unless of course the comp owner decides the comp is to be completely SSP city focused.

We should go until next Saturday [September 5th] and if more people need time we'll extend it.

By the way, I like the comp. We should keep doing it. Besides, people probably started their entries anyways and it would be a waste of time for them.
