If they commission Stern, this can be a blockbuster like 220 CPS.

Yeah, totally forgot about this tower site. Another slim Billionaires Row residential spire.

Park Lane is currently on the Green Mile. Judgement day is coming for that property. On a side note, can't wait for the rubbish near MSG to go away for the Penn District.

I hope that the developer acquires that crappy little Riflessi building to the west.

P.S.: I just looked up the Riflessi Building, which is 49 W 57th St. Vornado owns it.

Actually, that late-60s-era condo tower on 58th is pretty out-of-place on Billionaire's Row.

It might be OK somewhere else, but in this superprime location, just looks cheap. I wouldn't mind if that were included in an assemblage.

Either one of those developments will get a jump on the Park Lane site, which is also key.

COVID certainly makes land assemblages interesting. Owners may want to cash out and run, especially if they have lost ground floor retail and have a hard time attracting residents at even reduced rents/prices. This could play out like post 2007/8 where projects dry up for some time while developers quietly put together bigger pieces of property.

57th (and the area in general) has a lot of junk properties that need to go on the chopping block ASAP. Hopefully this allows for that.

Just build the Khaleesi already!

On the eastern side of this site is the cleared site next to the Solow. What's going up there again?

Y'all ain't gonna be happy when a glass box gets built instead of mah Khaleesi...

I wonder if Sedesco developed 34 E 51st or just acquired it after it was built. It's a pretty cool building and a positive sign if they developed it.

That particularly site was reportedly going to be a 7 star hotel by Vornado.

Vornado Chief Plans ‘Seven-Star Hotel’ By Central Park

Sept 9, 2014
By ELIOT BROWN

Vornado chief executive Steven Roth said at an industry panel discussion Tuesday the site of the now-closed Rizzoli Bookstore at 31 West 57th Street, just south of Central Park, is going to be “a seven-star hotel.”

Only a handful of hotels around the world are billed as having seven stars, an unofficial way to connote extreme luxury.

Who knows what will eventually rise there.

This is the perfect site for a landmark residential supertall.

I really hope we get something spectacular.

This is great news
The building will block a substantial part of the Central Park view from the Top of The Rock. You can't satisfy everyone
